Profile
Ballinacourty House is a beautifully restored 18th century building. Originally used as stables, it features a coach house and hayloft, which forms a surround for the courtyard.
The courtyard will transport you back in time with its original cobblestones, colourful flowerbeds and patio. It offers visitors a place to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
The original Ballinacourty House no longer exists. It was destroyed during the troubles of 1922.
The Glen of Aherlow is a beautiful, quiet country valley, secluded but not isolated. It sits snugly between the Galtee Mountains and the Slievenamuck Range. The foothills on these slopes are clothed in forests and provide a vatiety of lovely woodland trails, including a nature park.
The walker and outdoor enthusiast are well serviced in this area. A county of contrasts with high hills and verdant valleys, providing ample scope for even the most dedicated hill walker.
