Tipperary Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce that a great star of television comedy will switch on the Christmas lights in Tipperary Town next Sunday.
Eilish O’Carroll, who plays Winnie McGoogan in the hit TV comedy series, Mrs Brown’s Boys will be on hand to switch on the lights shortly after 5pm on Sunday 10 December shortly after Santa arrives on his sleigh to the Market Yard in the centre of Tipperary Town with Lidl goodie bags for all the kids!
Joe, Rita and Sinead of Tipperary Chamber of Commerce are delighted to have such a famous and talented person to switch on the Christmas lights. “Eilish is such a popular actor and is known and loved by people all over the country. It is a great privilege for us to have Eilish travel to Tipperary Town to officiate at our special event on Sunday”.
“There is already great excitement about Sunday and this news will add even more attraction to the event. We want to repeat our thanks to our team of volunteers and to the businesses up and down the town who have contributed so generously to the cost of the lights this year. We are very grateful to Tipperary County Council, Tipperary Vintage Rally and all our Sponsors for their valuable financial support”.The switching on event begins at 5pm in the Market Yard on Sunday 10 December. Entertainment will include Christmas Songs by The Voice of Ireland Finalist, Cycle Against Suicide Ambassador, actress and singer Kayleigh Cullinan, along with D.J. Francis, The C.J. Kickham Band, Pat the Magician with Balloon Modelling, There will be face painting also available along with a number of stalls.
