The Tipperary town St Patrick’s day parade committee is confirming a start time of 2.30pm on Monday March 17th. The committee led by Cllr John O’Heney meets weekly. If you would like to get involved you can message the St. Patricks Day Facebook page here.
The Tipperary town parade will commence from The Plan area on Davitt Street and travel via O’Connell Road to O’Brien Street and on to Main Street. Four competitions will form part of the parade with prizes for the Greenest Spectator, the Best Decorated House on the route, the Best Shop Window in the town and the best Float in the Parade. The parade theme is “Bee the Change” in association with Tipperary Tidy Towns which aims to eliminate litter and to take actions to support biodiversity. The Committee has selected a Grand Marshal but this honouree is yet to be revealed.
