Tipperary County Council encouraging local businesses to sign up for new ‘Shop Local’ initiative

Tipperary County Council has launched an initiative to support local businesses this festive season in light of the challenges faced from COVID19 this year.

In a bid to drive more revenue towards smaller businesses in the locality, Tipperary County Council has created an online business directory and are asking businesses in the county to register their details. The directory allows businesses to create their listing with all relevant product details and direct links to their websites and online stores. They will also be able to highlight whether they are providing delivery or pick-up options from their store.

The new site will allow users to navigate the directory with ease and find stores that are trading online in their own area across the county of Tipperary.  A wide spectrum of businesses are currently available on the platform, including bookshops, boutiques, furniture stores, pharmacies and opticians.  The council are hoping that shoppers will choose to support local, smaller businesses this year.
